Washington, DC - December 3, 2008 -- White House Christmas tree in the Blue Room during the media preview of the 2008 holiday decorations and tasting event on the State Floor of the White House in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, December 3, 2008.  The theme of this years decorations is "a Red, White, and Blue Christmas".  The tree is decorated with 369 hand-decorated ornaments specially designed to characterize the unique patriotic spirit of the artist's state.  Each member of the United States House and Senate was invited by first lady Laura Bush to commission an ornament.  The Official White House Christmas Tree is an 18 1/2 -foot tall Fraser fir presented to Mrs. Bush by Jesse Davis and Russell Estes of River Ridge Tree Farms in Crumpler, North Carolina..Credit: Ron Sachs / CNP
