Extra chairs were pulled into the Oval Office in the White House in Washington, D.C. on October 9, 1974 when United States President Gerald R. Ford's senior advisors gathered around his desk for one of their frequent meetings.  Counter-clockwise from President Ford, these advisors are as follows: Ronald H. Nessen, Press Secretary; John O. Marsh, Jr., Counsellor; Philip W. Buchen, Counsel; Donald Rumsfeld, Assistant; Paul Miltich, Assistant Press Secretary; Brent Scowcroft, Deputy Assistant for National Security Affairs; and Robert Hartmann, Counsellor.<br />
