President Ronald Reagan

United States President Ronald Reagan presented this photograph to President Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev of the Soviet Union in New York on Wednesday, December 7, 1988.  The photograph was taken in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday, November 19, 1985, during the first summit.  The photograph was inscribed, "We have walked a long way together to clear a path for peace," and was signed Ronald Reagan.  Underneath the signiture was a line that said, "Geneva 1985 ---- New York 1988".
