The poster showcases the many newspaper headlines published on April 13, 2009, showcasing his rescue. Phillips was award the Admiral Burke Leadership Award for his actions on April 8, 2009. Concerned for his crew, Captain Phillips offered himself up to the pirates as a hostage in return for their release.
